Ah, 2020. What a year. This time last year I was feeling so hopeful for the future. 2020 was looking to be the year. I had positive goals set, lots of events and gigs planned… it was going to be amazing. How wrong was I. None of us know how 2021 is going to turn out. Truthfully, I don’t think it’s going to be that different from 2020, for the most part at the very least. However, the motivation has come back. I’m positive that I can still make the most out of the year, just like I did with 2020. In 2020, I read out a piece of my writing at a workshop/networking event, had the same piece of writing featured on BBC Radio Bristol twice, where I was interviewed the first time live on air. I received a 2:1 in my undergraduate degree, then later returned for two seminars where I was a guest speaker which entailed me reading out my writing and taking a Q&A from the current second year students.
