MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS 2019

With only a few days left of 2018, I've been looking back on the year and thinking about what I want to improve on and achieve moving forward. At the beginning of 2018, I had little to no motivation and was on a downward spiral. Things haven't improved much, however my motivation is slowly coming back as the desperation for things to change gets stronger. Because of this, I've given my resolutions a lot more thought than I have done in previous years. Last year I said that I wanted 2018 to be the year that I "get shit done". It was the complete opposite of that. So now, 2019 needs to be that year. My 2019 resolutions: 1. TAKE RECOVERY MORE SERIOUSLY 2018 was the year that I properly started recovery after my mental health plummeted towards the end of 2017. I started seeing a care coordinator fortnightly and went back on my medication. However, I haven't taken it as seriously as I should have. This year I want my mental health to be my ...

MY NEW UNI ROOM TOUR

In July 2018, I moved into my new house with some of my friends from university. So far it's been a lot of fun, exciting and hilarious at times too, even if we do have the odd drunken argument. During my time at university, I've always lived in halls with strangers who I didn't necessarily get along with, so this has definitely been a positive change for me. It's taken me a while to get my bedroom to how I want it. Unlike my room last year, I didn't have much storage available so I've had to buy a lot of my own. My room is also a lot smaller this year, but I love it just the same... and the rent is a hell of a lot cheaper. This is an overall view of what my room looks like. It's a super cute room that I am more than in love with. We also live in an old house but I love the vibe it gives off and the little details it has. On my door I have my super soft dressing gown, New Look , and my towel hung up, and a full-length mirror on t...

My Sunday Evening Pamper Routine

Sundays: lazy days for some, work days for others. However, you can't beat a good Sunday evening pamper sesh and for me, this is exactly what my Sunday evenings always consist of. At the moment I am living off a very small student budget so I'm not able to afford high end or expensive brands. But, I have managed to find some really great skincare products that are affordable. I start off my pamper routine by applying the 'Roots' hair treatment from Lush to my scalp and roots. My friend got me this for my birthday and I highly recommend this stuff if you have thin and flat hair like me. I leave this on for about 15-20 minutes. Next, I remove any makeup I have on with the 'Simply Pure' micellar water from Superdrug. Most makeup wipes and micellar waters that I've tried in the past have given me allergic reactions. This one is very gentle on my skin and is tough on removing makeup. After the 20 minutes are up, I get in the shower. As you can...

Bristol in the Snow

The 'Beast from the East' attacked the UK, leaving us in below freezing temperatures and covered in ice and snow. For the majority of it, I have been hiding in the warm serenity of my bed, as I do for most of the Winter months. I can't say that I've really enjoyed the stupidly cold weather and I'm very much debating just going into hibernation. However, I can't deny that Bristol looked absolutely beautiful covered in a blanket of white and I couldn't resist going for a long walk in it to take pictures. The snow doesn't stay pretty and white for long in a city and I became fully aware that for the most part, I was just walking on a very large ice rink. I was able to enjoy it for about half an hour, but it wasn't long until my clumsy ass fell over. Twice. I then tweeted that I was slipping around in cheap Primark boots and that I actually had winter boots with better grip. I w...
